95186 Another year has passed and again here comes "FESŤÁK" - 29th International Mountaineering Film Festival in Teplice nad Metují.

In addition to films you can watch in the cinema and school, there will be a rich accompanying program in the park and the main square.

Got interested in bouldering? Would you like to try it or fill your free time? Do you want to see how it works? Come to the park (next to the football field) from Friday till Sunday. Competitions with valuable prizes are awaiting you. Magnesium is mandatory and TRIOP climbing shoes freely available.

95183 SINGING ROCK CRACK

Crack climbing is the essence of sandstone climbing and SINGING ROCK has probably created on of the world’s first mobile simulators of jcrack climbing with an adjustable crack width. Crack length is 7.2 m. Top Rope belaying, harnesses andcrack gloves can be borrowed. On Friday 24/08/2012 from 14:00 to 16:00 there will be competitions for prizes worth CZK 10,000 as a part of the CRACK COMPETITION. Climbing in climbing shoes and gloves. Securing by TR. The fastest time is measured. The fastest 5 men and 5 women will get to the final. You can try the CRACK from Friday to Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00 in the park (next to the football field).

95182 SINGING ROCK SPEED SLACKLINE

Speed and style. Exhibition and the best tricks. On Friday 24/08/2012 from 10:00 to 14:00 there will be a fastest slackliner competition. It will be organized in a standard manner: qualification with time measured and then play-off grid leading to the final. There will be valuable SIGR prizes. After the qualification before the play off, you will see GIBBON trick line exhibition. The lines will be freely available for walking, sitting, jumping, etc. from Friday till Sunday.

95180 SOFT DRYTOOL

When the winter asks what you did in the summer…
A well‑known saying that also applies to ice climbers and drytooling ethusiastists. SINGING ROCK is preparing a new collection of technical ice axes and has developed a unique training ice axe to train on a bouldering wall. Come try soft drytooling on the SINGING ROCK boulder wall from Thursday till Sunday and if you do well, you can take part in the Soft DryTool competition on Saturday 25/08/2012 from 12:00 to 14:00. The participants will traverse around the boulder wall and the time and the furthest place the climber reaches will be measured. Prizes worth CZK 30,000.

95184 STRONG JOHN – CLIMB TENDON

Climbing without feet on a FAST ROPE designed for special army and police units for quite deployment from a helicopter without the use of securing equipment.
Come and try climbing on this rope from Friday until the beginning of the competition and then after its end to the local park (next to the football pitch). Climbing without belaying. There will be the crash pads available.

95181 SANDSTONE CLIMBERS (PÍSKAŘI) FILM PREMIERE

On Satruday 24th August there will an official premiere of new Czech documentary film about sand stone climbing SANDSTONE CLIMBERS.

Film „SANDSTONE CLIMBERS“, inspired by the same name book from Bohumil Sykora, is about the climbing development in the region Broumovsko. Since the first tower Kral was climbed in 1923 has passed a lot of years. In Adršpach, Teplicke rocks, at Ostaš and Broumovske walls has been made a tousands of routes and the new ones are still creating. Each route has its own story, each is unique. Style of climbing is changing by the influence of new trends and new equipment…

Come on Saturday 25th August to cinema at 8 p.m. to see this great film or on Friday 24th August to the school at 4 p.m. English version coming soon…

95178 SANDSTONE CLIMBERS (PÍSKAŘI) PHOTO EXHIBITION

This idea also lead Petr "Pepe" Piechowicz when taking photographs that will be located in the exhibition space of the Information Centre in Teplice nad Metují from 1/8/2012 until 15/9/2012. Come and see unique photographs from the ambient of sandstone towers and rocks.

SINGING ROCK is celebrating this year its 20th anniversary and therefore announces a competition for the oldest, most worn out or on the contrary the best‑preserved Singing Rock harness. Bring us your old harness to the park and you can win a new harness of your choice for you and your pal + 2 VIP entrances to the celebration of SINGING ROCK’s 20^th anniversary held in September 2012. Each participant will get a 30% discount for a purchase in our Mountainshop (the discount only applies for SINGING ROCK products). The harness must be older than 5 years, i.e. harnesses with manufacturing date 2007 and older can take part.
