Nusle Bridge abseil on wheelchair 2014

106212At the beginning of May 2014 SINGING ROCK took part in the beneficent festival "Pojď dál". The aim of this project was to support the fund which will finance completion of the construction of the Jedlička Institute and Schools for physically disabled young people in Prague (JÚŠ). The event started with the abseiling of Nusle Bridge on wheelchair under the lead of SINGING ROCK Team.

The abseil from the 42.5 m high Prague's bridge was done by wheelchair users and Czech celebrities - among them paralympic athlete Zdeněk Krupička, gold olympic medalist from Sochi Eva Samková, Mister Czech Republic 2009 Martin Zach (now paralyzed), singer Kamil Střihavka, actor Tomáš Hanák or anchorwoman Lucie Výborná.

The first historical Nusle Bridge abseil on wheelchair was very popular with spectators and the mass media and should be written in the Czech Book of Records. The festival continued with a dancing and drum parade to the Jedlička Institute where took place beneficent concerts of groups Tam Tam Batucada, Sto zvířat and The Tap Tap. The whole proceeds will go to help the institute to build an educational facility for the disabled. If you are also interested to contribute to the fund you can obtain the information how to do it on info@sbirkajus.cz or on the Czech website of the project www.sbirkajus.cz.

We were honoured to collaborate on that event!
